Glassdoor
_
Glassdoor is a job and recruiting site that offers job seekers insights into companies through employee reviews, personalized salary tools, and more.
Intro/
I interned at Glassdoor, one of the world's largest job and recruiting sites, during the summer of 2021. I was on the brand team within the marketing department, working closely with the Sr. Brand Designer. Together, we created cohesive designs across the company’s web, email, and social platforms. My role involved producing diverse digital marketing collateral to promote Glassdoor products and foster impactful relationships with their B2B and B2C clients.

The visuals of the original social headers on various Glassdoor social accounts were inconsistent, with some using stock photos while others employed campaign-focused designs.

Before I started designing, I used mind mapping to unlock potential ideas and generate keywords that reflect the brand's image. The three keywords that emerged are transparent, alive, and welcoming.

I used these three keywords—transparent, alive, and welcoming—to pinpoint the initial visual direction.

Design process round 5 | We decided to go with Direction 1, using the same graphic elements from the social headers to ensure better consistency. The hiring team also preferred Direction 1 because it's more fun, playful, and inviting, which encourages candidates to apply for jobs at Glassdoor.

Final version | For the tagline/copy, instead of using the typical "We are hiring" or "Join our Team," the marketing team came up with some playful and meaningful options that engage viewers effectively and align with our fun and playful design.

3.New Hire Celebration Graphics
Overview/
This project drew inspiration from Fishbowl’s new hire postings. Fishbowl, now under Glassdoor’s umbrella, serves as an online hub for professionals in the evolving landscape of remote work.
The objective was to design a shareable social graphic/photo frame for the hiring team to use when sharing new hire announcements. This initiative aims to enhance Glassdoor's brand image and attract potential hires while publicly acknowledging and welcoming new team members.

A shareable photo frame that the hiring team could place employee headshots inside or for new hires to share on their social media.

We chose option A because the Polaroid frame evokes a sense of celebration, aligning perfectly with the project's goal. Additionally, it contrasts nicely with photos that have busy or colorful backgrounds.
