Objective/
Identify a problem in our daily lives that we want to solve and create a design solution for it.
Approach/
Working over 8 hours at a desk is common in today’s workplace. However, prolonged periods of sedentary behavior can be as harmful as smoking, potentially causing long-term damage to our bodies and mental health.
OffiZen is a hypothetical chair yoga brand specifically designed for busy professionals to maintain mental clarity and efficiency while alleviating chronic pain from sitting. The brand offers an easy approach that anyone can practice at their desk. OffiZen stands for office zen, implying that your office can be your zen space.
I created four deliverables to raise brand awareness: a set of promotional posters, a pain-relief room to encourage people to start doing yoga, a mobile app that allows yoga practice anytime and anywhere, and a YouTube channel that provides guidance on navigating work-related issues.

Nearly 4 in 10 U.S. adults report working at least 50 hours a week. Additionally, approximately 80% of adults experience low back pain at some point in their lives, making it the most common cause of job-related disability.

Deliverable 1 | A series of promotional posters to be displayed in the financial district, aimed at raising awareness among our target audience.

Deliverable 2 | The Pain-Relief Room will be located in the office building. The goal is to encourage people to start practicing yoga in a fun and engaging way.

Pain-Relief Room | Employees can reserve their spots by adding their names to the time slot sheet.

There is an interactive screen with a photo booth feature. The lights automatically dim once the session begins.

1. The interactive screen offers an enjoyable way for individuals to practice chair yoga by automatically detecting the accuracy of their poses and providing corrective guidance if the pose is incorrect.

4. "Start with a clean slate: Sit up tall at the edge of your seat and place your hands on your waist. Take a deep breath in through your nose, expanding your sides and abdomen, then exhale slowly. Repeat for ten breaths."

5. 5-second notification before the following pose

6. "Our necks carry a huge amount of stress. To help alleviate it, take your right arm and drape it over your head until your palm reaches your left ear. Let your head fall to your right shoulder, and hold for five breaths."

7. "Open your legs wide and point your toes out. Place your right arm inside your right leg, reaching toward the floor. Lift your left arm toward the ceiling and bring your gaze up to your left palm. Hold for five breaths, then repeat on the opposite side."

8. "Move your left arm to the left a bit."

9. "Finish with a calming forward bend, which lets blood flow to the brain. First, sit tall and straight. Then, fold over your legs, letting your head, neck, and body hang limp. Hold for as long as you want before rolling back up to a sitting position."

11. By the end of the session, you can choose to take a picture and share your workout experience on your social media platforms.

Deliverable 4 | The OffiZen YouTube channel informs people on how to address work-related issues effectively.
